Shin Megami Tensei V Series sales exceeds 1.6 million world wide

SEGA is happy to announce that the total worldwide sales of the game series Shin Megami Tensei V (including both packaged shipments and digital downloads) have exceeded 1.6 million units.

Shin Megami Tensei V achieved global acclaim upon its release on November 11, 2021. Additionally, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, released on June 14, 2024, has also been highly acclaimed globally with its new features such as multi-platform availability, new story, and various system enhancements. The game has surpassed 500,000 units in total worldwide sales (including both packaged shipments and digital downloads) within three days of its release.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance has received a Meta Score of 88 in media reviews in Europe and America. It has also garnered high ratings from major North American media outlets, including Siliconera with 100 points, Atomix with 92 points, Digital Trends with 90 points, and GameSpot with 90 points. Additionally, on Steam, it has received a 95% positive rating, earning the status of Overwhelmingly Positive from users. As of June 20, 2024.

With its release in 2021, ATLUS’ Shin Megami Tensei V sold over 1 million copies and achieved global acclaim. This beloved title is now coming to multiple platforms: offering a new story, improved gameplay, and polished features!

The story starts with two different paths. The first, Canon of Creation, follows the original story told in Shin Megami Tensei V. The second, Canon of Vengeance, features a new storyline – a dramatic tale of revenge by the fallen.

Canon of Vengeance will diverge from Canon of Creation midway, resulting in a completely different ending. Players will witness this dark supernatural tale as it unfolds into two paths.

The play time goes up to about 80 hours for one path and 160 hours for two paths.
