Cosplay City now open in SM City Fairview for cosplayers and geeks
SM Supermalls is calling all cosplayers, geeks and anime fans as they open their newest attraction in SM City Fairview – Cosplay City!
Cosplay City is open to SM City Fairview shoppers starting June 21 to September 21, 2024 and getting in is quite easy. All you have to do is download the SM Online app and swipe the “Cosplay City” coupon. You can also get inside by presenting P1500 worth of receipt from SM Fairview tenants. The receipt could be single or accumulated as long as you bought something from SM City Fairview.
One transaction with the receipt will get your 3 entry passes to the venue.
If you are a movie buff like myself, you can also present one SM Cinema Ticket in exchange for one entry.
An entry will give you 20 minute access inside the Cosplay City where you can pose with the various displays inside. There are actually a couple of anime-themed zones including:
Funko Pop Exhibit
For this zone, don’t forget to step inside the Funko area to see great Funko Pop figures on display featuring various pops from anime titles such as One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Z and more …
And there’s also a few standees and Funko statues that you can pose with.

When I attended the opening, they were running this sky lanterns video in the background; however I’m going to assume that they could switch this up to something else that’s more appropriate with anime and the anime culture.
You can also take photos with the “Tokyo Street” and “Tokyo City” background as well as a train background.
Drawing inspiration from the “2024 World Cosplay Summit” in Japan, a pop culture festival bringing together cosplayers of Japanese manga, anime, and video games from all over the world, cosplayers in the metro need to head to Cosplay City at SM City Fairview’s upper ground level with multiple distinct cosplay and anime themed zones. These include Action Figure Display, Funko Pop Exhibit, , Toy Street, and Tokyo City Vibe for Instagram-worthy photos and videos. Fans and visitors alike will have a blast getting into character with over a hundred costumes, wigs, and props -perfect for your snaps and reels!
They also a One Piece inspired area that you can see the moment you enter Cosplay City featuring a nice backdrop, a Monkey D Luffy statue and some seriously great looking collectibles too.
You can also gear up as Luffy or Zoro with these costumes that you can borrow at the entrance before you enter the venue. And yes that also includes the sword prop.
There are other costumes that you can use includes costumes from other anime series like SPY X FAMILY or more. Channel the elemental powers of Genshin Impact characters with the stunning costumes, allowing you to become your favorite hero from Teyvat. Unleash your inner Saiyan with the Dragon Ball Z costumes, featuring iconic outfits from Goku, Vegeta, and other beloved characters. You can also show P1500 worth of single or accumulated receipts from SM City Fairview tenants for which you’ll get 3 passes. You can also show your SM Cinema ticket to get 1 pass that will net you 20 minutes access to the venue.
