Filipino parents name their kid Condoriano Buggy after One Piece character

One kid had the fortune and misfortune of being named after a One Piece character in the Philippines as the kid was named Condoriano Buggy by his parents.

Check out a portion of the kid’s birth certificate below.

It was the dad who posted the photo of the baby’s birth certificate who was apparently born in Negros Occidental.

Depending how you look at it, you can’t deny that the parents of Baby Buggy are huge fans of Eichiro Oda’s seminal manga and anime series starring main character Monkey D. Luffy as he and the rest of the Strawhat Pirates continue to look for the One Piece.

The one upside of getting named Buggy is that the character has some following. In the current continuity, Buggy has become one of the four Emperors of the sea joining the other emperors like Luffy, Red Hair Shanks and one of the manga and anime’s toughest antagonist, Blackbeard.

Of course Buggy is just a figurehead for this pirate fleet with the real people pulling the strings being former Warlords of the Sea Sir Crocodile and Dracule Mihawk.

The One Piece live action Buggy was also fun and was well-recieved by fans. The OPLA Buggy was played by Jeff Ward.
