Veteran Actress Eva Darren’s family calling foul on FAMAS snub
Veteran actress Eva Darren‘s family particularly her son had some words to say about her recent experience at the 2024 FAMAS where she was promised to go on stage and never got that opportunity.
Facebook user Fernando de la Pena, the son of the TV and movie actress shared his thoughts on the what happened to his mother over last weekend’s FAMAS Prestige Awards. In the lengthy post, he states that his mother prepared her speech and braved the storm just to attend the event with her three grandkids. He also stated that despite the time and cost including the food which was priced at P5,000, she was game to be onstage. But that did not happen as the award came and went and she was never called on stage to receive her award.
Here’s what’s posted on Facebook regarding the incident.
Darren’s last project was in 2020 where she played “Lola Corazon” in “Kahit Minsan Lang”. I remember her for her role as Belen Macaspac, the mother of Kristine Hermosa’s Yna Macaspac in 2006’s Pangako Sa’Yo.
