December 22, 2023 – SEGA is thrilled to share new details about Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which is releasing January 26, 2024, on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, and Steam. Learn more about the Poundmates you can call into battle, how to craft and strengthen weapons to your advantage, and the abandoned buildings known as dungeons that change each time you visit them.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a dramatic RPG that depicts the series’ most compelling tale to date. Two beloved characters take the spotlight as dual protagonists in this adventure—Ichiban Kasuga, a man who rises from rock bottom once again, and Kazuma Kiryu, who faces one final battle as he enters his twilight years.

Experience one-of-a-kind combat with dynamic, fast-paced RPG battles where the battlefield becomes your weapon, and anything goes. With a plethora of new jobs, more in-depth customization, and plenty of ways to develop your characters. Battles have evolved into New Live Command RPG Battles with even more strategic elements. You can create the strongest party by adding new jobs, extensive customization, and training elements.

 

■ Poundmates – Your Poundmates can be called on to help you in battle for a bit of cash— and they’re now better than ever!

These quirky characters have powerful attacks and healing skills. Some will assist you by delivering a single devastating attack, while others can now join the battle for a few turns. Call up lots of different characters to gain the upper hand in battle! You’ll be able to call more characters as you progress through substories and other objectives.

・Nancy & Olivia

Nancy, the crawfish Kasuga saved in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, makes a return to battle. This time, she teams up with Olivia the hermit crab to bewilder enemies with their combination attacks.

 

・Kazami Evolution

The rock singer who shoots music videos amidst violent storms is here! The intense tornados he stirs up while filming attack enemies mercilessly.

 

・Charlie

Charlie, the rep for one of Kasuga’s gigs, Crazy Eats, joins forces with Kasuga and friends in battle! He provides assistance by attacking with his bicycle and by healing the party

 

• Crafting and Strengthening Weapons – Customize your weapons to your liking as you strive to make the strongest party!

In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you can take your weapons and materials to Julie’s Gearworks to strengthen your weapons or create over 140 new ones.

 

・Crafting Weapons

Use materials and money on a base weapon to craft a new, evolved weapon. Crafted weapons not only have increased power, but also gain attack types and special effects, significantly enhancing your battle capabilities. For example, if a sword without any types or special effects transforms into a more powerful sword imbued with the ice type, all attacks with the sword will be of this type, making them extremely effective against enemies weak to ice.

・Strengthening Weapons

Use materials and money to strengthen your current weapons. Not only can you boost their attack, but you can also add new effects of your choosing. Strengthen and customize your favorite weapons to your liking and use them to take on formidable enemies.

 

■ Dungeons – Dangerous abandoned buildings that change each time you enter them. Fight your way past droves of adversaries to claim the treasures lying within!

Hawaii and Yokohama both have abandoned buildings inhabited by all manner of ruffians, referred to as dungeons and feared by those in the surrounding areas. The layouts within are quite complex, and rumor has it that the structure and enemies inside change every time you enter. Many powerful enemies can be found within, making it an ideal place to test one’s strength.

If you help people who are lost in the dungeon as you explore, their gratitude might compel them to give you gifts that can later be exchanged for enhancement items.

As you progress deeper within, the enemies gradually become stronger, with powerful bosses among their number. However, the stronger the opponent, the rarer the treasures you can obtain. Grow alongside your friends as you take on the challenges of the dungeon.
