Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Ending Explained (SPOILERS)
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse had a big ending that I really think people would enjoy but the ending could be a little bit fuzzy so here’s me doing a Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ending explained post for y’all.
By the way there will be spoilers here so – SPOILER ALERT
The film ends with a suspenseful moment when Gwen Stacy realizes that Miles Morales was sent to the wrong universe and that was Earth 42. You see prior to this, it was already established that the spider that bit Miles came from Earth 42 and that he was NOT supposed to be bitten by an irradiated spider and that universe’s Peter Parker was not supposed to die protecting him from Kingpin and his goons.
That being said, because there was no irradiated spider on Earth 42, Earth 42 Miles Morales grew up differently and things went haywire as well, subverting the concept that Spider-Man 2099 discussed earlier about that universe blowing up because the canon event did not happen. Here the world did not blow up but the society and the general demeanor of the place is completely
Meanwhile Miles is knocked unconscious and interrogated by his alternate universe Uncle Aaron aka the Prowler still tied up to that punching bag (which is becoming a running theme for the franchise), Gwen Stacy rushes to the different universes where she finds her friends and allies to help her rescue Miles on Earth 42 which includes:
- Spider-Woman (Gwen Stacy)
- Peter B. Parker and Mayday
- Spider-Ham
- Peni Parker and her new mech
- Spider-Man Noir
- Spider-Punk
- Spider-Man India
The movie pretty much ends this way and we get to see the title for the new Spider-Verse movie titled: Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse!
