Resident Evil Death Island Poster brings Leon, Claire, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine together again
Capcom has revealed the new Resident Evil Death Island Poster which brings together four of the game franchise’s popular characters!
This CG animated film continues on the tradition of other excellent to OK CG movies from Capcom. The poster passes up the horror feel that in favor of an action movie vibe as seen with the characters in various action pose.
One thing that would draw in fans would be the characters spotted in this poster which includes Resident Evil 4 Remake star Leon Kennedy together with Resident Evil 2 Remake co-lead Claire Redfield. There’s also former partners from Resident Evil 1 Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine who also appeared in the Resident Evil 3 Nemesis Remake.
Last character we need to mention that’s also in the poster is Rebecca Chambers.
Here’s the synopsis for Resident Evil Death Island:
D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers, when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.
According to Capcom, the film will take place in the year 2015. This places the film after the events of Resident Evil 6 (set in 2013) and Resident Evil: Vendetta (set in 2014), but before Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (set in 2017).
The film will be directed by directed by Eiichiro Hasumi, and is written by Makoto Fukami.
