Sasha Banks officially debuts in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 17; decks KAIRI
Former Women’s champion Sasha Banks has officially debuted at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s biggest show, Wrestle Kingdom 17 and is already poised to take on Kairi Sane aka KAIRI for her title.
The former WWE Women’s Champion and NXT Champion has already generated buzz about her trip to Japan and teasing fans following her on social media that the next thing happening is a “dream come true”. There was also a rumor going around wrestling fansites that Bayley is also flying to Japan to show her support to her friend.
The self-styled CEO of Stardom appeared after KAIRI’s match and showed her support for her former workmate in the WWE. She’s decked with an elegant looking headdress too.
Then she did a promo promising to take that title away from KAIRI before beating her up and knocking her unconscious in the ring.
Then she did a number of poses including one where she’s holding onto the IGWP Women’s Title belt.
I dunno. Not totally impressed but this IS a big deal considering Banks is formerly connected to the WWE and she’s now wrestling in Japan.
Also interesting is the fact that she actually tweeted out her thanks to key WWE people including Vince McMahon and Triple H.
