Mortal Kombat sequel director announced as Simon McQuoid
Mortal Kombat sequel officially gets a director and its none other than the first film’s director Simon McQuod!
Warner Bros Pictures has green lit the Mortal Kombat sequel even after the returns of the movie came in. In fact, the first thing they got for the sequel is a writer which is going to be Moon Knight TV series writer Jeremy Slater.
Its still not sure what element from the first movie would be retained and which element would be replaced. I dunno about you guys but I agree with a lot of fans saying that they need to get ride of the Cole storyline and replace it with Lui Khang taking over as the main character.
The movie is slated for release around 2023.
Meanwhile, the first movie starred Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Joe Taslim, Mehcad Brooks, Tadanobu Asano, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ludi Lin, Max Huang, and more. The film was directed by Simon McQuoid and written by Greg Russo, Dave Callaham and Oren Uziel.
