Time for Marvel Studios to deal with Quicksilver before introducing Speed Post-Agatha All Along
SOME SPOILERS for Agatha All Along and Wandavision:
The Marvel Studios series Agatha All Along had the important task of bringing in Billy Kaplan aka Wiccan to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and they did so in a great way (albeit in an obvious manner).
In this week’s episode of Agatha All Along, it’s finally revealed that the enigmatic “Teen” was in fact Billy Kaplan aka one of the missing sons of Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff who vanished together with the hex at the end of the Disney Plus series Wandavision. We of course already knew this the moment they announced the casting of actor Joe Locke as Teen and also because Funko pulled the trigger and released images for their upcoming products which spoiled the story.
Since then MCU Scarlet Witch has been looking for her twins and even made her turn heel in the Sam Raimi film Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
So its obvious that the next step in this unfolding saga is to look for the other twin, Speed.
But Marvel still needs to sit down and really work on Quicksilver because this is the current situation.
MCU Quicksilver played by Aaron Taylor Johnson is dead, killed at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
They have buried him and referenced him in several moments and was a proponent for Wanda Maximoff going into the deep end at the start of Wandavision.
Then there’s the Fox-verse version of Quicksilver played by Evan Peters…
While he was never really killed off, his universe is kind of dead. Kind of and that’s another confusing mess thanks to 2024’s Deadpool and Wolverine.
So basically one is canonically dead and the other is in limbo. Both actors can be pulled back easily with Taylor-Johnson currently playing the Spider-Man villain Kraven the Hunter while Evan Peters still actively working.
At the moment we don’t know how Marvel Studios will play this but I really think they need to address how Quicksilver should be mentioned and maybe also not play with our hearts and giving us Ralph Bohner.
Maybe they need to figure out and settle who should be making an appearance in the MCU moving forward because clearly, this isn’t over and we could eventually get Wanda Maximoff back in the world of the living after that awful death in MOM.
