Daken Akihiro’s Hellverine getting an ongoing series

Marvel recently announced an ongoing Hellverine series picking up where Daken Akihiro resumes his role as the Ghost Rider – Wolverine hybrid hero.

The new book will be written by Benjamin Percy with art Raffaele Ienco.

So apparently, the struggle between Akihiro and the demonic entity Bagra-ghul has come to a standstill with Akihiro seemingly taking full control of the situation. Not only do they have a new dynamic in play for the ongoing series set for release December 18.

Here’s the synopsis:

It’s hellfire-fueled, claw-slashing action in the Mighty Marvel Manner as HELLVERINE blazes a new path across the Marvel Universe! The Demon Bagra-ghul possessed Wolverine, turning him into a killing machine… but Logan is no stranger to caging the beast within his soul, and the demon learned his heroic ways.
