Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton in talks for Spider-Man 4
Spider-Man 4 will be happening and according to The Hollywood Reporter its going to be helmed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton.
According to reports, Cretton is set to direct current Spider-Man star Tom Holland for the project which will be worked on together by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, continuing their partnership from other previous Holland films like Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Cretton will also be the fourth director to work on a solo Spider-Man movie following the footsteps of Jon Watts, Marc Webb and Sam Raimi.
Reports also suggest that Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers will also be writing the script for the movie with Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal also onboard as producers.
Cretton was announced to be the director for the Avengers film “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” before things fell through with Jonathan Majors and his assault charges. He was also in the running to direct the live-action Naruto film as well as work on the Shang-Chi sequel, neither of which have begun production.
