Pinoy pride what up. A special Transformers # 1 cover will be up for sale at next month’s SuperManila Comic Con at One Ayala featuring Autobot Hound as the phased out Pinoy Jeepney.

This cover was done by artist Von Randal and colorists Ellery Santos and Rex Espino. This special cover also features the Autobot leader Optimus Prime who is also seen transforming into his trademark truck form.

Sadly in the real world, the Jeepney is an endangered type with the PH government pressing hard for the public to use the modern Jeepney and slowly phasing out the classic.
Also in case of confusion, Image Comics and it’s imprint Skybound Comics holds the license to the Transformers IP but the book we are talking about was a reprint from Marvel’s Transformers issue 1 decades ago.
