My Hero Academia Chapter 430 – Deku gets a happy ending

Izuku Midoriya gets his happy ending as My Hero Academia wraps up with My Hero Academia chapter 430! Spoilers incoming!

SPOILER ALERT again.

In this chapter, we find out that 8 years after the final battle with the villains, villain activity has decreased and that the Deku’s class have all graduated. Some of them have become top heroes like Katsuki Bakugo now going by Great Explosion God Dynamight and Shoto Todoroki. Some of Deku’s classmates like Tentacole has also fostered new levels of peace and tolerance in this society after the villain war. And yet, the powerless Deku has quietly faded into the background as a teacher and his class is all excited to try out for the UA. In the chapter he even ends up inspiring a young kid with a somewhat useless quirk to try out and be the best he can be; he does so too in front of a statue for All Might.

After that, Deku meets up with All Might who made a surprise appearance back in Japan to give his former successor a surprise.

Apparently the class pooled together their resources to create a suit that will emulate the quirks that fall under One for All which brings him back to the same level as he was before. In short, he’s gone from being Superman to becoming Batman or Iron Man.

The final page ends with Deku reunited with his aged up classmates. Some of them looking pretty much the same while others have gotten significant changes to their costumes.
