Trending: Gil Puyat signages replaced with Gil Tulog

The busy Gil Puyat Avenue is getting some trending love when netizens noticed that the usual signages were replaced with Gil Tulog.

And since the road is a long stretch there were a lot of signages replaced with Gil Tulog.

The whole tulog replacement was supposed to be a play on the Puyat aspect which means lack of sleep in Filipino. So in essence Gil Puyat managed to get some sleep and is thus tulog or sleeping.

There are a lot who are unhappy with this change especially since the road was named after a former Philippine Senate president.

Many believe that this is a publicity stunt either for a brand or a product. As of writing this, the Makati city authorities have released a statement regarding this issue.
