Heihachi Mishima coming to Tekken 8 with new story DLC

Bandai Namco has officially announced the inclusion of Heihachi Mishima for Tekken 8.

Heihachi will be joining the previously announced characters namely Eddy Gordo, Lidia and now Heihachi Mishima who perished in the story ending for Tekken 7 at the hands of his own son Kazuya Mishima.

We still have one character that has not yet been revealed who would be coming for Winter 2024.

According to reports, Heihachi Mishima will be bundled with the first Tekken 8 story DLC which will also explain why Heihachi has returned.Kazuhiro Harada and his team however had already planned the return of Heihachi as they have laid some things in the background literally and figuratively. The fan favorite Reina being in the initial roster was a sign that things are not over between the Mishima and Kasama clans.

Harada has also pointed out that the Tekken 8 logo not only featured the devil wings that will be a part of the long story of the King of Iron Fist Tournament but also kind of showed the likeness of Heihachi himself. Plus the team also stated that Heihachi NEEDS to be in this game because his name has the word “Hachi” which also means “8”.

Check out the trailer for Heihachi’s return down below.

Lastly, the word that was quoted online was there will never be a Tekken game without Heihachi so it was really a matter of when when it came to getting Heihachi.
