Just Cause they can. A Just Cause live action movie officially announced with Blue Beetle director Angel Manuel Soto
Another open-world game has been given a live action treatment and this time its Just Cause. We didn’t really ask for it but its still happening Just because.
According to reports the Just Cause film will be produced by Universal Pictures in cooperation with Square Enix and Avalance Studios. Blue Beetle director Angel Manuel Soto has been attached to direct the film and I can definitely expect something good out of this especially since we are no longer in the era of awful video game adaptations; well maybe except for the upcoming Borderlands adaptation.
Additionally the duo of Kelly McCormick and David Leitch (The Fall Guy) will also produce the film through their 87North film production.
Since its 2006 debut, the video game has put players on deadly missions as Rico Rodriguez, an operative who is a regime change specialist. Armed with a grappling hook and wingsuit, he goes on race-against-time missions to stop The Black Hand, a lethal mercenary group.
