New Daredevil: Born Again set photos show Jon Bernthal’s Return as The Punisher
One of the biggest things lacking in the initial plans for Daredevil: Born Again was the inclusion of several important cast members as well as not including The Punisher aka Frank Castle played by Jon Bernthal. And now thanks to the reshoot, the upcoming TV series is officially giving us Frank back.
And boy did we miss our boy Frank and all his bloody vigilante rage.
Bernthal’s Punisher first appeared in the Daredevil series which was initially available on Netflix and starred Charlie Cox. After several episodes on the season he was given his own Netflix series which aired in November 2017 and had a total of two seasons or around 26 episodes. Aside from Bernthal as Castle, we also had Debra Ann Woll reprise her role from the Daredevil series as Karen Page.
We still don’t have any idea what exactly is going on in this scene but it’s nice to know that they will be teaming up. One weird thing though is how Daredevil will allow Castle to get away with gunning down enemies which is something that Cox’s Matt Murdock aka Daredevil cannot allow.
Things are definitely looking up now for Daredevil: Born Again.
And I also wanted to point out that the main villain for the series will be the returning Vincent D’Onofrio who played Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin in other past shows including Daredevil and the Hawkeye series on Disney+. He also had a big involvement in the recently released Echo Disney+ show.
