María Gabriela de Faría cast as The Engineer in James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy where she plays a villain role vs the DC Comics Man of Steel!
The Brazilian actress had made her way stateside and to mainstream media with her performance in the SyFy series Deadly Class which was also based in a comic book created by Rick Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott. She has also starred in Fox comedy series Animal Control and The Moodys.
Faria’s character’s name is Angela Spica but also goes as The Engineer, the violent Wildstorm team’s technology expert created by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch and first appeared in The Authority # 1 back in 1999. She has been a constant fixture in the team through the years.
We should be expecting more casting news for Superman: Legacy soon which would round up the other members of the Authority which is also giving us some serious Superman vs the Elite vibes…
