RUMOR: BLACKPINK Members Jennie, Jisoo and LISA leaving YG Entertainment
Big rumor popped up today about the current status of several BLACKPINK members and their agency YG Entertainment.
According to the rumors posted by supposed “industry insiders”, the contracts for three of the four members of BLACKPINK namely Jisoo, Jennie and Lisa are still up for discussion with the contract renewal with YG Entertainment. These “industry insiders” also noted that only Rose reportedly opted to stay renew her contract with YG Entertainment.
K-Pop news portal Soompi reported on YG Entertainment’s statement saying that the label is still discussing the contract renewal with the girl group.
The label had launched the group back in 2016 and helped propel their careers to where it is right now but their contract with the three had already ended in August 2023.
Many speculate that if the renewal falls through, Jisoo, Jennie and Lisa could look for other management companies but will still be working as Blackpink together with YG Entertainment.
Blackpink recently finished their “encore” tour in South Korea recently.
