ZETA DIVISION emerges victorious in VCT Last Chance Qualifier Pacific 2023
Alongside the three VCT Pacific teams Paper Rex, DRX and T1, ZETA DIVISION earns the final qualifying ticket to compete at VALORANT Champions 2023
23 July 2023, Seoul – A momentous win for ZETA DIVISION as they emerged victorious in the VCT Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) Pacific 2023, having defeated Team Secret 3-1 in the Grand Finals.
Taking place over six days from 18 – 23 July in front of a live audience at the Sangam Colosseum in Seoul, seven Pacific teams from Indonesia, India, Japan, Philippines, South Korea and Thailand went head-to-head in an intense competition for the final qualifying spot in VALORANT Champions 2023.
ZETA DIVISION, Team Secret, Gen.G, Rex Regum Qeon, Global Esports, TALON Esports, and DetonatioN FocusMe were qualified to face more intense competition in the Upper and Lower Bracket Finals after some nail-biting encounters, with ZETA DIVISION coming on top as the fourth Pacific team to join in the fight for the VALORANT Champions 2023 title after facing off Team Secret.
LCQ marks the end of the inaugural VCT Pacific League 2023, which has achieved a peak viewership of nearly 400,000, and over 25 million esports hours watched this year. More than 500 Pacific League watch parties have been held with influencers and co-streamers, with over 60 live viewing parties held across Asia Pacific.
This tournament renders the remaining seven Pacific teams one final opportunity to qualify, alongside Paper Rex, DRX, and T1, to compete against the best teams from other international leagues for the title of VALORANT World Champion. VALORANT Champions 2023 will be held in Los Angeles this August.
