Here’s what the Florence Pugh nude scene from Oppenheimer looked like in India and the Middle East
Oppenheimer is getting rave reviews for its timely story of the father of the atomic bomb but there are still a few controversies here and there that needed to be dealt with in the present including that racy scene featuring lead actor Cillian Murphy who plays J Robert Oppenheimer and Florence Pugh who plays his lover Jean Tatlock. A romance that ended with a bit of tragedy as you’ll find out later.
Before we proceed, here’s my Oppenheimer review
Above you’ll see the CG local distributors did for the Florence Pugh nude scene in Oppenheimer which they obviously couldn’t cut because it was an important part of the story. In this part of the story, Oppenheimer cheated with his wife Kitty (played by Emily Blunt) with a secret meeting with his former girlfriend Tatlock. This was spotlighted in the film around the time that Oppenheimer was being investigated as being a Russian spy; decades after the dropping of the atomic bombs in Japan.
The meeting with Tatlock was in the 40s during the development of the bomb which was told in a flashback with Murphy being grilled about his affairs with his wife listening in. Meanwhile we shift to Blunt’s POV and we see her imagining Pugh’s Tatlock locked in an sexual position with her husband.
As for the real life counterparts, Tatlock committed suicide in the 40s and never encountered her ex-boyfriend anymore. Oppenheimer lost his security clearance after a very public investigation but still continued to talk about the dangers of nuclear weapons until his death in the 1960s.
Oppenheimer is still showing in cinemas from Universal Pictures and is directed by Christopher Nolan. It stars Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr.
