COMPUTEX AI Announcements, New 14-inch NVIDIA Studio Laptops, May Studio Driver And More, This Week ‘In the NVIDIA Studio’
This week In the NVIDIA Studio, we’re highlighting a number of amazing AI announcements coming from COMPUTEX, Asia’s biggest annual tech trade show, including new ultra-portable 14-inch NVIDIA Studio laptops for creating and gaming, the new DLSS 3 plugin for UE5, our May Studio Driver, and more!
New NVIDIA Studio laptops for creating and gaming
Equipped with a GeForce RTX 40 Series GPU and backed by NVIDIA Studio, these new laptops give creators portability and more options to create with lighter, thinner devices that significantly exceed the performance of the last generation. These category of laptops include: Acer Swift X 14, ASUS Zenbook Pro 14, GIGABYTE Aero 14, Lenovo’s Slim Pro 9i 14 and MSI Stealth 14.
Simultaneous Scene Encoding
The recent release of Video Codec SDK 12.1 brings a new way to accelerate video encoding by utilising multiple NVENCs to significantly increase encoding speeds by nearly 80% for dual encoders, meaning video export times are cut in half without dropping image quality. Capcut, the popular video editing app, is the first software to integrate this technology on RTX GPUs with two or more encoders, available today.
ACE for Games
Also announced by NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang during his Computex-opening keynote, Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE) adds intelligence to non-playable characters in gaming with AI-powered natural language interactions. Now game developers and studios can use ACE to build and deploy customised speech, conversation, and animation AI models in their software and games.
This week’s In the NVIDIA Studio features a demo of ACE, nicknamed Kairos, a joint venture between Convai and NVIDIA Lightspeed Studios, led by NVIDIA Creative Director Gabriele Leone. Built using GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs, Kairos provides a glimpse into the future of gaming when game developers can utilise NVIDIA ACE to build more responsive and engaging NPCs with AI.
May Studio Driver
Also ready to be downloaded is our May Studio Driver; which includes AI updates to MAGIX VEGAS Pro, D5 Render, Jianying and VLC Media Player. AI model optimisations for WinML apps including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, ON1, and DxO, among many others.
Check out this week’s In the NVIDIA Studio blog, with complementary assets attached, to learn more about all of these AI-tastic announcements and to download GeForce Experience or NVIDIA RTX Experience to be notified of the latest Studio Driver releases.
