DC Swimsuit Variants return for 2023 edition on books like Batman, Catwoman and Action Comics
The DC Swimsuit variants return this 2023 and we have the lineup of books that will be having these special variant covers including Batman, Catwoman and Action Comics starring Supergirl. Check out the upcoming covers after the cut!
Action Comics #1056
Otto Schmidt has two variants for the same issue featuring Natasha Irons / Steel, Kara Zor El / Supergirl, Conner Kent / Superboy and Power Girl. The one above is all of them just chilling and the other showing Supergirl using her ice breath on Superboy.
Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #16
Artist Babs Tarr gives us cheesecake DC hunks for her variant cover for Batman/Superman: World’s Finest featuring Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne stripped down to their trunks! Synopsis reads: “Batman and Superman versus machines! A.I. villains and heroes—Shaggy Man, G.I. Robot, Red Tornado, and Chemo among them—have launched a global cyberattack alongside Newmazo’s soldiers. Batman, Superman, Robin, and Metamorpho, the Element Man, are unprepared for the onslaught. With millions of lives on the line, the World’s Finest team must find a way to pull the plug before it’s too late!”
So no real connection to the cover but that’s all good. The whole gimmick of swimsuit covers is to just show fanservice.
Catwoman #56
Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson returns to Catwoman and here’s the synopsis – “What’s the saying—two cats are better than one? Unless you’re in Gotham and the two Cats in question disagree on how the city should be run. With Selina freshly out of jail, Eiko Hasigawa has some unfinished business as Catwoman that Selina confronts her about. Meanwhile, Selina has some unfinished business of her own…and pays a visit her sister, Maggie.”
