HUAWEI Matepad SE 10.4 inch First Impressions

Here’s my HUAWEI Matepad SE 10.4 inch First Impressions which is due out in the market soon featuring improved processors and display! No official word yet on the price for this amazeballs tablet.

Huawei is back to conquer the tablet market with their latest offering, the Huawei MatePad SE 10.4-inch which they promise to be the best Smart Home Entertainment companion for this year and beyond thanks to the stunning viewing experience and wickedly great processing speed and more.

Below are my thoughts on the latest tablet from Huawei PH and whether this truly is going to be a good investment for moms and dads who are shopping for a new table to use at home.

DnD – Display and Design

Design-wise I like the improvements they did for the new MatePad. Its definitely screaming “for the entire family”. It features a fullview display and dual speakers that covers everything we need for a good tablet for either streaming movies on Netflix or listening to music and podcasts on Spotify. I also did find the total size of the new MatePad just right. Not as small as a smartphone but not as humungous as older generations of tablets.

The display is 10.4-inch 2K Eye Comfort HUAWEI FullView Display which is good enough to watch Youtube videos or Netflix content.

It’s also safer than most brands because it has passed the “TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-free certifications”; giving more time to get your eyes glued to the screen.  for proven eye fatigue relief. The airy-light 440 g body is also a treat especially for parents who are trying to reduce the number of stuff they need to carry around whether its inside or outside the house.

Lastly, the HUAWEI MatePad SE 10.4-inch features a symmetrical design on all four sides. This helps you to focus on the screen and enjoy whatever you are watching.

Great Viewing Ratio 

I had to do a separate item for this one so here we are. The MatePad SE 10.4 also features a 83% screen-to-body ratio meaning coupled with a 8.5mm bezel on all sides. This means that they once again figure out how to really limit the amount of “borders” you have on the tablet, thereby making it easier to look at the screening plus it makes the content a lot more conducive for viewers.

Promising Speakers

I also got to give a listen to the sound quality of the MatePad SE 10.4-inch and thanks to the dual symmetrical speaker system in place together with the patented Histen 8.0 tech, sounds coming out are crystal clear. Very impressive considering the price point they are looking at for the tablet. It’s also great for answering video calls and zoom meetings.

It has GBOX

Gone are the days when we have to do a side-load or use APK stuff to get our favorite Google products on a Huawei Phone because they are now rolling out what they call the GBox which is an additional application that can let you use Google products and services now.

Kids Corner

For dads like me who are worried about the stuff that might get exposed from the Internet on your kids, Huawei has us covered with the Kid Corner function which was designed to do a number of things that parents need to thereby leaving kids with very minimal supervision.

Parents can control their kid’s usage time and have multiple eye protection. Parents can also choose which apps the kids can use as well as the type of videos and pictures they can check on without mommy or daddy looking out for them.
