The film’s main antagonist, Ursula, is going to be played by Melissa McCarthy.

The Little Mermaid is directed by Rob Marshall and stars Halle Berry, Jonah Hauer-King, Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem, Art Malik, Noma Dumezweni, Lorena Andrea and Kajsa Mohammar.
