Here’s what she wrote:

Bakit may sad dahil back to work na? Dapat grateful kasi may work. If work makes you unhappy, I hope you find a job that will. Yung pakikiligin ka and sheet 🥹 Anyway, this is just a reminder that having a job is a blessing bessss change mindset, it’s 2023!! 🤍

Mas malala ung sad dahil wala na silang daratnang work, my 2 cents

Diba? Diba? Antanga mo lang?

i hope you’ll also realize that you are posting this status from a privileged point of view. good morning.
as an agricultural advocate, this is certainly not the case for our farmers and fisherfolks — given that they are not well-compensated & struggling for their rights.
they have to work regardless. but it doesn’t mean that if they’re struggling & sad, it equates to them being ungrateful. stop romanticizing class-based, work-based, money-based struggles.
++ we have lots of Filipinos who have given up their passion for practicality (for money) — to leave their families, to leave the Philippines, to leave their passions.

I like the positive mindset. However, I would also like to address why people aren’t happy on “back to work” phrase. It’s the reality. Yung iba malungkot dahil sa toxic co-workers or even sa system ng company or organization. Others aren’t happy because of the workload that they have yet still got low salary.
Let’s command and invite blessings this year 😗

Some of us are stuck in work that we do not enjoy, yet we need to pay the bills and are fearful for the future. Yes, we are constantly seeking a better situation and someday, we will find a job that would make us feel happy. In the meantime, don’t invalidate our feelings.

sige po. sabi nyo eh.

Ung ganitong motivational maganda walang bahid ng malisya pero in reality hndi to lahat applicable sa lahat ng mang gagawang Pinoy lalo nat minimum wage earner .

Sabi ng vlogger na sumasahod ng million, lol its easy for you to say these words.

Being sad does not imply being ungrateful. Some have to go back abroad to work, and some only get to see their family on weekends or holidays. People can be sad AND grateful at the same time 🙂

Eun Ice
Not really sad but you made me realize that having a work is a blessing. Even a minimum wage earner at malaking gastos sa araw araw but still I see myself as a grateful one to have a job. Thanks ate Donnalyn For this wonderful reminder 🥰💙

Donnalyn
Eun Ice congratulations dahil naregular ka na 😍❤️ hardwork pays off look at uuu!! Don’t forget to reward yourself!

Donnalyn
Parang OFW situation. Minsanan ko lang sila nakikita.. umaabot years and years. Kaya naman men.. mahirap lang.

Tama naman po having a job is a blessing kaya dapat maging grateful.
Pero for me po, part parin ng life yung irecognize natin yung emotion natin (ito yung bagay na hindi natin ma – cocontrol), if we are SAD dahil back to work na, I think “THAT IS OKAY”, at hindi naman po ibig sabihin nun na ungrateful tayo or hindi po na-aappreciate yung work na meron tayo…
Hindi man natin makontrol na hindi maging malungkot, pero we can CHOOSE TO BE OPTIMISTIC.

CHECK YOUR PRIVILEGE TEH!!!

Okay?
Just because we’re sad doesn’t mean we’re ungrateful. Sure, grateful kasi sa salary upang makaprovide sa sarili o if may pamilya ka, tapos may healthy working environment ka at sa nakasama mo sa work ay hindi toxic, but what about the mental or physical state of the person himself, alangan naman i-sacrifice yong health for the sake na i-please ang management? For the sake na hindi i-terminate? What about if nasa toxic working environment siya, aber?
Lucky you and other people na hindi nakaranas ng ganito, then good for you sa mga nag-agree neto. Sana all talaga. Easy for all of you to say.
Considering na nagtatrabaho ako sa call center na almost everyday queuing at walang pahinga sa kakadakdak, so how will I be happy knowing that I almost lose my sanity and my time taking a break? Hindi lahat ng oras trabaho, of course I’m more than sad. I’m all drained out. I have mental health issues. I experience breakdowns. I experience burnouts.
Wala na akung time management because most of the time, I’ve been asleep and groggy kahit sinasabihan ako ng tamad, okay?
In addition, wala kaming holiday breaks unless weekends, may offer na time off (VTO) or approved ang paid time off mo.
The only things that I’m grateful for ay yung buong team na sinasalihan ko at yung salary, kahit medyo maliit para sa akin basta may pambayad.
Of course, you don’t get it, and I’m not even sure if you’ve been in a BPO or any corporate job aside from vlogging, acting and singing.

But what do you think? Did she have a point? Was she in the wrong in this situation? Remember this was also the person who celebrated her birthday with a “poverty porn” theme with a bunch of influencers and celebrities.
