New Black Adam promotional materials teases Black Adam vs Hawkman

Dwayne Johnson continues to hype up his upcoming film Black Adam by giving a look at new promotional materials including image that teases a Black Adam vs Hawkman fight.

First the former WWE champion and Young Rock star showed a new look at his character Black Adam for the film…

There are also two posters that depict Black Adam together with his would-be teammates in the JSA or Justice Society of America (which could be shortened to just Justice Society).

Johnson joins Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, and Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher. Marwan Kenzari and James Cusati-Moyer have also been cast in supporting roles.

And last but not the least, a look at the Black Adam vs Hawkman fight…

So…

What’s interesting here is the power levels these two JSAers have. Hawkman’s pretty much the JSA version of Wolverine minus the claws. He has incredible healing abilities which means you can’t take him out of the fight for long but Adam is a whole new world of powers. He’s on par with Superman when it comes to superstrength and he actually has an advantage because Supes is weak against magic and Teth-Adam is powered by magic.

So either this part of the movie will nerf Black Adam or they have something in the plot that gives Hawkman an advantage.

Remember in an old issue of Superman/Batman, Hawkman was able to knock out Superman with the use of a weapon he called “The Claw of Horus”
