Top 5 Moon Knight costumes from the comics

As we celebrate the upcoming release of Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight starring Oscar Isaac (Star Wars, X-Men: Apocalypse) as Marc Spector. So here are the top 5 Moon Knight costumes from his long run in the comics.

1. The Classic

Let’s start this list with the most popular and the most iconic version of all the Moon Knight costumes. Its the white and silver costume; the suit is mostly white with silver elements such as the a segment of the boots, the belt and the bracer. The moon logo is sometimes silver and sometimes white but the defacto color has always been silver.

2. Mr. Knight

I liked the Mr. Knight costume because it looked simple and is actually cosplayer friendly. You got a white suit, gloves, shoes and a full mask and that’s pretty much it. He’s not flashy or as a vigilante-ish as the other costumes and looks on this list but it’s certainly stylish. Mr. Knight’s ensemble also includes the crescent moon cufflinks which replaces the traditional moon logo found in his chest.

Here’s another look because the guy looks killer.

3. Armored Moon Knight version 2

This costume falls under the category of a modern costume and it’s one that’s certainly going for a more armored look. Rather than go with a white or silver overall, this version is a black overall with some nice armor in the chest area, the arms, shoulders and legs. He’s also equipped with more high tech gear which was really cool at the time.

4. West Coast Avengers costume

In the 80s MK, joined the West Coast Avengers and he appeared with all the usual stuff in his costume including the cape, the crescent moon symbol and the hood. The only different thing during this timeframe was the presence of a golden belt and golden bracelets and anklets. And yes he was still crazy around this time.

5. Armored Moon Knight version 1

The first version of Moon Knight’s armored look borrows heavily from Iron Man’s designs back in the day. There was little changes to Moon Knight’s overall look though as he still had the hood, the mask and the cape. The crescent moon logo is still present but as you can see in the image above, he did take some liberties with shoulder pads and bracers/ vambraces. The suit also gets knee high books and a codpiece.

Also cool about this armor is the fact that its made of Adamantium. Though we won’t see this type of costume for MK in the near future. Maybe we could when the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 wraps up but that’s a long ways down the road.

Speaking of wrapping up, here’s a look at the first Moon Knight trailer from Marvel Studios which will be released March on Disney+. The series will star Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke.
