Eternals Deleted Scene turns Sersi into the killer of Smilodons

With The Eternals now out on Disney+ we finally get access to some deleted scenes to the film including this new Eternals deleted scene titled “Small Talk” featuring Dane Whitman (Kit Harrington) and Sprite (Lia McHugh) where they do small talk and confirms that the Eternals of Earth had something to do with the extinction of prehistoric creatures including the Smilodons or the Sabretoothed tigers.

In the scene Sprite and Dane have a conversation which starts off with Sprite mentioning that Sersi and the other Eternals of Earth systematically killing off the Deviants which mankind eventually considered as prehistoric animals such as the Smilodon aka the sabretoothed tiger in front of them. Then they move to a statue of the Greek goddess Athena which Sprite says is “Thena” referring to Angelina Jolie’s character. Then the conversations leads into a philosophical pace before it ends with Dane saying he will never take Sersi away from Sprite. In this scene we also get to see how Sersi and Sprite show themselves to the world as aunt and niece which is a good way to throw off people who may think that they are thousands of years old synthetic beings sent by the Celestials.
