In her opening remarks, Eastern Communications Coordinator Atty. Aileen Regio talked about the importance of bravery and trust in these challenging times. “The world changed in a snap. It demanded different things. But instead of falling apart, our connection pulled us, forward, uphill and stronger together,” she shared,

“We hope you stand proud and look over the strong feat we’ve conquered. You and the strong connection we made will continue to be steppingstone towards more fearless possibilities.”

Customer Success Stories and Game-Winning Touchdowns

Eastern Communications caps off 2021 by celebrating its game-winning touchdowns through its Eastern Link VIP Club Appreciation Night entitled, “Our Strongest Stand”.  Now in its 4th year, the Link VIP Club is Eastern Communications’ award-winning client recognition program and was created to thank customers for their continued loyalty to the company.  The club is an example of the company’s commitment to High Touch service and even as the effects of the global pandemic persisted, so too did Eastern Communications in its effort to be the partner of choice for businesses in their digital transformation

Chief among these efforts was the Eastern Transcendence Summit, a virtual event that aimed to address the needs for businesses to achieve agility and resiliency by leveraging technology. The summit brought together motivational speakers and industry experts such as the Apprentice Asia Winner Jonathan Yabut and Best-Selling Author Sgt. Lloyd Luna to rally leaders to rethink the way they do business, optimize learning and initiate change.

The Eastern Transcendence Summit was the culmination of the telco’s E-Huddle Series, thought leadership webinars especially crafted to answer the different business needs of companies of all sizes in the new normal.  Among these were Inspire, which promoted a more optimistic and proactive view of how to adapt to the new normal while Leap Forward was designed to address the pain points of emerging businesses with insights on how to pivot their business in the current setup through digital transformation.

High Tech Expansion

2021 was also a year of expansion for Eastern Communications, both geographically and in the breadth of the product and solutions line-up. Through its “Via Eastern” program, Eastern Communications expanded its footprint in the provinces, reaching out to Region 6, Batangas, Lucena and Davao, and Cagayan De Oro, and North Luzon  as part of its continued commitment to provide strong connections and empower businesses in more areas all over the country.

The company also expanded its already extensive product portfolio. Additions include Community Wi-Fi, a managed Wi-Fi service for barangays or localities, Very Small Aperture Terminal or VSAT powered by Kacific, which is designed to help connect unserved or underserved area through light and easily transportable satellite dishes; SASE, an advanced yet flexible all-in-one solution for enterprise connectivity and security, powered by their global partner CATO Network; and Eastern Security Information and Event Management or SIEM, which addresses various cybersecurity concerns through a single automated solution.

Strong Support for Education

Eastern Communications also continued its strong advocacy for education. It recently concluded a webinar entitled “Onward: Nurturing Fearless Educators” in partnership with the Department of Education among public elementary school teachers in Manila and Caloocan. The virtual event aimed to address the growing needs of teachers, educators, and facilitators when it comes to efficient distance learning.

Furthermore, the company pledged over Php 228,000 worth of support for Gadgets For All, a charitable program supported by the Synergeia Foundation, Inc. that gathers laptops, desktops and smartphones to be given to students and teachers for free for their distance learning needs.

“What an unparalleled feeling it is to arrive at the end of 2021. After it tested our resolve and challenged our limits the past year showed us that everything, our winning touchdown, our strongest stand, is on the other side of fear,” shared Eastern Communications Head of Marketing Division, Jed Estanislao, at the finale of the “Our Strongest Stand” event.

“Thank you for your undying support. Our era of strength has just started, and I can’t wait to see what next fearless thing we’ll do next,” he added.
