realme Pad Review
Here’s my realme Pad review which is now out in the market for just Php10,990 and featuring 10.4-inch WUXGA+ (1200 x 2000) IPS display and MediaTek Helio G80 processor!
realme Pad unboxing
Design
Thoroughly enjoyed using the realme Pad because it was light to carry and so easy to bring around especially in my case when I want to bring my writing outside the house (preferably with coffee and a nice snack). And thankfully this pad is only 6.9mm thick and has a weight of 440 grams. I’ve seen and sampled various tablets that came out in 2021 and I can honestly say that the realme Pad takes the cake as the lightest and thinnest.
To make the realme Pad look more “premium-y”, realme also added in an aluminum alloy metal body which comes with an ultra-fine ceramic sandblasting. You can really see the quality craftsmanship for the tablet while still running on that blessed price point. The Real Grey looks very technical and professional while the Real Gold looks more classy and elegant. Whatever you choose, its a good investment.
Display
In terms of display output, you’ll be happy to know that this tablet will come with a 10.4 inch screen with a sexy screen-to-body ratio of 82.5%.
Plus its also got WUXGA or widescreen ultra extended graphics array which has a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200. While other tablets stop at 1080, realme just stepped up their game and kicked their tablet to the next level. You’ll be happy to know that watching videos, streaming movies or just scrolling on social media will be a lot better with the realme Pad. Other features for display include black and white reading mode and blue light protection; both of which were designed to take care of your eyes to some extent. The colors are vivid and the aspect ratio is also good.
Audio and Music
One of the stronger points about the realme Pad is that it comes with a Dolby Atmos Quad Speakers and the hi-res high quality certification. Its not only LOUD but at the same time its got a rich detail to it. It makes streaming movies and music more enjoyable because the sound quality is just excellent. This means you can expect a really good time playing games or watching videos or just casually scrolling on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Battery
The realme Pad battery is massive with a 7100mAh battery. Realme is already hyping up that it can last 65 days standby time and honestly, while I didn’t stress test the unit I have, it felt that way. What I did do was start the day with a full battery and streamed a film then totally forgot about, put it in a separate table, did stuff and came back to it after lunch. The pad was there, with around 45% charge with the brightness and volume maxed out.
I knew this was a winner.
In terms of charging this was also good as it supports up to 18w super charging. This makes it a great device to bring around in trips out of town.
Gaming
The other biggest selling point on why you may want to pick up the realme Pad is because of the MediaTek Helio G80 Processor. To “game without interruptions”, the tablet also features two A75 cores and ARM Mali-G52 GPU. These elements also help support the performance of the MediaTek Hyper Engine game engine.
Camera
The camera on the realme pad comes are both 8MP main rear camera and a 8MP selfie camera. As you can see above, when you have good lighting the photos are pretty good. The same goes for the selfie camera.
Here’s another shot, this time a close-up shot using the realme Pad
Again, we can’t expect too much from the camera of the tablet, but its great for Zoom meetings for work or for online classes.
