Will Poulter as Adam Warlock for Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3

Deadline reports that director James Gunn has tapped Black Mirror: Bandersnatch actor Will Poulter to play the role of Adam Warlock for the Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3.

Warlock was teased at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 where Elizabeth Debicki’s Ayesha created the “perfect man” to eliminate the Guardians once and for all.

Then nothing happened. Warlock was never cast and was never added to any of the future movies that came out. I was hoping he would have appeared in Avengers: Infinity War or at the very least in Avengers: Endgame but alas.

At least now we know that The Suicide Squad director James Gunn who returns to Marvel Studios is getting back on this subplot he did a few years ago.

Poulter’s an imposing fella and I like the casting. Maybe there will be some who will be disappointed because they wanted to sa “gentlemanly” actor take the part but I think Gunn has a different idea on the character and Kevin Feige agrees with Gunn’s vision.
