First look at Timothee Chalamet as Willy Wonka in Wonka prequel set for 2023

Warner Bros Pictures has released the first look at Timothee Chalamet as Willy Wonka for the upcoming Wonka movie.

The film simply titled Wonka is set for a March 2023 release and will be directed by Paul King (Paddington). The “Dune” star will also star In addition to Chalamet, Wonka stars Keegan Michael-Key, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, and Olivia Colman.

We are still not sure whether the movie will be a musical and it certainly hasn’t been marketed or announced as such.

This would be the third movie about Roald Dahl’s classic masterpiece with the last one being Johnny Depp’s take on the character under the direction of Tim Burton.
