X-Men’s Marauders gets new creative team and members starting with Marauders Annual # 1
Marvel has begun moving around key people and creative teams for the X-Books and it starts with the Marauders book saying goodbye to Gerry Duggan and getting writer Steve Orlando for the team’s future starting with Marauders Annual # 1.
Check out the cover for Marauders Annual # 1 below.
Orlando will be working with artist Crees Lee on the annual which will also host a new roster of characters. Kate Pryde will still be the star of the book together with her “Red Bishop” Lucas Bishop or just Bishop who has recently risen to the position of Captain Commander of Krakoa. The team will also have Psylocke, Daken, Aurora, Tempo, and Somnus; a mutant who has tangled and stole Wolverine’s deadly Muramasa blade over in the Wolverine books.
Orlando states:
Taking the helm of Marauders is easily the most exciting moment of my career, especially when it’s my first-ever ongoing not just on Krakoa, but at Marvel in general. Exploding out of the team’s already-amazing adventures as part of Hellfire Trading, Captain Pryde’s new crew of Marauders will stop at nothing to bring endangered mutants to safety — to always go where they’re needed, not where they’re wanted. To mutant rescue, wherever it calls them!
