Inferno # 1 Spoilers – A Classic Mutant Joins the Quiet Council

Inferno # 1 Spoilers! A classic mutant makes a surprise appearance and becomes the newest member of Krakoa’s Quiet Council. This issue was written by Jonathan Hickman with art by Vallerio Schiti.

Before we proceed, SPOILER ALERT

In the final moments of this issue, during a Quiet Council meeting where the agenda was to bring in new members to replace former members, Mystique makes a bold move when the idea was mentioned by Magneto and Charles Xavier.

She calls in Destiny, her wife and the one person that the trio of Moira X aka Moira McTaggert, Charles Xavier an Magneto swore never to resurrect when they started building Krakoa because she knows her secrets. Moira also knows what Mystique and Destiny can do with their knowledge and what they can do to Krakoa.

And now she’s suddenly alive and well, wearing her classic costume and is very much poised to get a seat at the Quiet Council.

Not only does she make a grand appearance, she’s also seen sitting down in Apocalypse’s old place which is now vacant after the events of X of Swords. Wonder what chaos they’ll be bringing in next now that they are back together again. And it could also mean that they are also making changes to the way Krakoa is being run and could even be the reason why Sabretooth is back after being exiled.

Why Moira hates Destiny?

While they already established a solid reason, there’s also the fact that in one of Moira’s past lives, she encountered Destiny and Mystique who attacked her lab, killed her friends and then took their sweet time to ensure that she dies a horrible death thanks to Pyro. That was done in House of X/ Powers of X, also by Jonathan Hickman, and now expounded further in this book.
