HBO releases first teaser for The Last of Us TV series
Here’s a look at the first teaser that HBO has released for the upcoming adaptation of the Playstation title The Last of Us which stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey!
Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) will play the role of Joel while Ramsey will play Ellie.
No trailer yet but the locale that these unlikely pair shows that this is a completely new place which points that the team in HBO will be doing something different for the show while at the same time follow in what made the game’s narrative work in the first place.
The Last of Us game was first released in 2013 developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game was directed by Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann. It was announced in December 2011 and came out June 14, 2013 for the Playstation 3. The Playstation 4 also got a “Remastered” edition of the game in July 2014 and since then has sold around 1.3 million units in the first week and 17 million by April 2018. It also spawned a sequel, The Last of Us Part II before getting pushed as a TV series written by the game’s original director Neil Druckmann.
No word yet on the release date for The Last of Us TV show but I’m betting the trailer won’t be too far off especially since the image HBO released feels like it came from the trailer.
