Fans were able to spot Don Lee’s Gilgamesh sporting an Infinity Gauntlet in his fight with Thena in the final The Eternals trailer

It looks like there’s a subtle Infinity Gauntlet easter egg that fans spotted in the recently released The Eternals final trailer. That easter egg was spotted where Don Lee’s Gilgamesh was seen fighting with Angelina Jolie’s Thena.

The MCU Gilgamesh should be as strong and as fierce as his comic book counterpart and we can see that he hold his own against one of the three members of the Celestial-built superteam protecting Earth.

There are three ways of looking at this easter egg though. It could be that he was using it first and the Asgardians copied it off sometime in the 7000 years that the Eternals were on Earth. Or the design could have been given to Eitri by Odin way before the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

The third one is that this was just a simple easter egg and doesn’t really tie into anything with the Infinity Gauntlet. It was just something cool for director Chloe Zhao or producer Kevin Feige.

Oh and we could also see Gilgamesh using a pair of these cosmic Infinity Gauntlets while teaming up with Thena and fighting against another deviant in what looks to be a desert or a beach.

Either way, this was nice nod to what has come before them aka the Infinity Saga.
