Loki episode 4 mid credit scene explained
Here’s a quick explainer on what the hell was happening in the Loki episode 4 mid credit scene which is out now from Marvel Studios and Disney+ and stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Sophia de Martino as Sylvie.
Now before we proceed, SPOILER ALERT
So additional context before we dive into these stills, at the end of Loki episode 4, Loki and Sylvie manage to get face to face with the mysterious Timekeepers and Loki was supposed to say something deep and meaningful to his variant/ counterpart but he never does finish because he’s been “pruned” by Ravonna Renslayer, the current judge of the TVA or Time Variance Authority.
The episode ends, roll credits with a new song called “If you Love Me” by Brenda Lee…
Then the Loki episode 4 mid credit scene begins.
Loki wakes up somewhere with the camera doing a hard close up on him.
As he begins to stand up he’s looking at something in front of him…
and then he gets the surprise of his life.
Standing before him are four different versions of Loki including Richard E. Grant as the old Loki, even wearing his classic Marvel Comics costume, the same costume he wore for decades including when he accidentally assembled the Avengers back in Avengers # 1.
There’s also kid Loki who recently appeared when the Thor books were rebranded as Journey into Mystery and right after Siege when The Void killed Loki and he was reborn as a kid. Kid Loki also appeared again during the Asgardians of the Galaxy book working together with Angela and even wearing the Destroyer armor.
This makes things really interesting. Also their staging point/ meeting point would be in a ruined New York City complete with a ruined Avengers Tower/ Stark Tower. Definitely something interesting and exciting. Come on Wednesday, come fast! Follow me on Twitter and Facebookfor more geek news and updates!
