Former Smallville star Allison Mack sentenced to 3 years in prison for NXIVM cult
Smallville actress Allison Mack has been sentenced to prison for a total of 3 years for her involvement in NXIVM cult.
The actress who played Chloe Sullivan got three years for her role in the New York based cult NXIVM where she was reported to have branded female members and ordered them to have intercourse with the cult’s leader, Keith Raniere.The 38 year old got her sentence from U.S. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis in Brooklyn.
She pleaded guilty back in 2019 for one count of racketeering and conspiracy. She will be serving her sentence starting September 29 according to reports.
In an interview before her sentencing, Mack was tearful and apologized to her victims and their families. She was quoted saying that her actions in the group were “abusive, abhorrent and illegal.”
Meanwhile, the cult’s leader Raniere, got a total of 120 years in prison for crimes including sex trafficking.
