UNIQLO to Launch First Animal Crossing: New Horizons UT Collection

April 26, 2021, Manila, Philippines – Global apparel retailer UNIQLO will launch a UT (UNIQLO T-shirts) collection with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the hit game from Nintendo Co., Ltd. for the Nintendo Switch™, on Friday, May 28. Based on the concept of “Connect with friends through clothing,” this collection was inspired by the game’s uniquely original animal characters, and life in the New Horizons world. Special content to fully enjoy the collection in-game is also being offered by way of a special UNIQLO Island and Custom Designs.

UT and goods inspired by life in New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a communication game popular with people of all generations, in which players develop their own deserted islands and live in them however they please. Players pick fruit, rearrange furniture, and change outfits as they deepen connections through interaction with the animal residents. The UT collection of men’s, women’s, kids’, and baby items can be enjoyed by people of all generations. Designs inspired by the fancy-free, slow life possible on New Horizons islands are presented on T-shirts, as well as tote bags, blanket towels, and other goods.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game for the Nintendo Switch™ released by Nintendo Co., Ltd. in March 2020. In this latest installment in the series, players move to a deserted island to start a new life after purchasing a “Deserted Island Getaway Package” from Nook Inc. and can enjoy life as they please while interacting with a community of animals with uniquely original personalities.

Special in-game contents released from Japan’s UT Collection launch date

Starting from April 29th, the UT collection will launch in Japan, “UNIQLO Island” will appear in New Horizons. (The UT collection will be available in the Philippines by May 29, 2021). Players will be able to visit UNIQLO Island using a Dream Address and enter a realistic UNIQLO store. The Custom Designs Portal will have 21 T-shirt designs linked to the collection. Players can enjoy real outfits within the game.

*Users need to subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online (fee required) in order to access UNIQLO Island and Custom Designs. These contents may be terminated without notice.
