EXCLUSIVE: DOTA: Dragon’s Blood Showrunner Ashley Miller talks about preparations for making the anime series
I recently got the chance to send a few questions to DOTA: Dragon’s Blood showrunner Ashley Miller just before the release of the title on streaming platform Netflix!
There may be some spoilers from the anime series so…
- What were the preparations YOU took when you got the DOTA: Dragon’s Blood project?
I read every wiki and watched every video. I watched SirActionSlacks’ Loregasm videos like crazy trying to get my head around how this world worked, what was defined, what was still a question mark and what hadn’t been addressed at all.
2. Who’s the most intriguing character for you from the entire series?
Probably the Invoker. He has a story to tell. When you see it, you’ll know.
The game has a rich lore for the character and the Netflix series definitely gave justice to the character and his motivations.
3. What are the chances of getting spinoff series still under the DOTA banner/ franchise?
That’s definitely a question for Valve and Netflix. Right now I’m trying to stay focused on the one in front of me.
