Jerrold Tarog no longer involved with Darna TV series
Heneral Luna director Jerrold Tarog has dropped the ball on his involvement with the Darna project where he officially states that he is no longer involved in the project.
One fan asked the director whether or not he’s still involved with the project ever since ABS-CBN has announced that the project has been downgraded from a movie project to a tv series.
Unfortunately, I’m not going to be involved in the TV series due to scheduling conflicts. But some doors remain open regarding my future involvement in the Ravelo universe. We will see. For now, I wish ABS-CBN &
@Imjanedeleon all the best. Let’s continue to support them.
The director was then asked whether there would still be a movie in the works and if he’ll still be doing that if it ever materializes and he replied:
Sana. That’s up to the studio.

Tarog came into the project to replace Erik Matti who was the original director for the Darna movie under Star Cinema but after some time, the Buy Bust director bowed out. The main star, Angel Locsin also dropped out of the project, replaced by Liza Soberano, and then subsequently Jane de Leon.
