Spider-Man 3 Rumors – Daredevil Star Charlie Cox could join and Tobey Maguire Spotted for rumored costume fitting

There’s a lot to unpack today for the MCU Spider-Man 3 rumor mill and we’ll try to comment on some of them below including Daredevil himself Charlie Cox reportedly joining the film and something about Tobey Maguire.

Charlie Cox’s Daredevil for Spider-Man 3

Ok for starters, reports came in a few days ago that Daredevil’s Charlie Cox who played the titular Daredevil and his alter ego Matt Murdock has been in talks to join the already massive cast of the untitled Spider-Man 3 movie under Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures.

The actor was previously saying that he was not part of this but there could be some major movement behind the scenes especially after news broke out that Alfred Molina is reprising his role as Doctor Octopus for Spider-Man 3.

I think this is highly unlikely but there’s still a probability especially since the rights to Daredevil reverts back to Marvel and Marvel Studios this year. They could have complete control over the character again after leasing it out to Netflix for a few years.

And while I like to see a team-up between Spidey and Daredevil, I don’t think I want to see him be a major part of the story. A cameo would do for me.

Tobey Maguire and his rumored “costume fitting”

Second story for today involves Raimi-verse Spider-Man Tobey Maguire and the photos that went online showing him going to a supposed “costume fitting”. While many jumped to the conclusion already that he is indeed joining the MCU and appearing for the third Spidey film, those photos can’t confirm that. There wasn’t enough evidence that he was indeed going to a costume fitting. For all we know, he could just be picking up groceries. The photo was so random.

Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s appearance in the Tom Holland Spider-Man movie has been swirling around for the past few months. This is also because Marvel Studios and Sony had announced that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will be appearing as a major character for the film and Strange’s back is currently carrying majority of Marvel Cinematic Universe projects including a connection to the Disney+ series WandaVision, his own sequel film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and now even Spider-Man.

So far we already have confirmation that Jamie Foxx aka Electro is joining and recently Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius aka Doctor Octopus. There were also rumors that the Vulture is also returning.
