Unconfirmed: Oscar Isaac as Solid Snake for the Metal Gear Solid movie

Various reports are coming in that Oscar Isaac as Solid Snake is happening for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie.

The actor has previously appeared in other big Hollywood features like Star Wars, X-Men: Apocalypse and even Sucker Punch. His current project, Dune, is set for release 2021. He’s also reportedly in talks with Marvel Studio to play the role of crazy superhero Moon Knight for the project set for release on Disney+.

The Metal Gear Solid movie will be directed by Jordan Voght-Roberts, the guy who also gave us Kong: Skull Island from a few years back. The project has been moving at a glacial pace but thankfully Vogt-Roberts has stuck around. IIRC, this was already being developed as early as last year already.

I’m also looking forward to hear whether Hideo Kojima will be involved for this especially since this his brainchild (although Konami currently owns the rights). Please let Kojima have a say on this.
