The Batman Production stops once more, Robert Pattinson is COVID-19 Positive

After the well-received trailer for The Batman was revealed at DC FanDome, the new Batman movie seems to hit another snag this time after reports that lead actor Robert Pattinson has been tested postive for COVID-19.

According to various sources, the production for the Matt Reeves-directed film is going to stop for awhile after Warner Bros was notified that Pattinson was tested positive for the coronavirus.

“A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols,” a Warner Bros. spokesperson said in a statement Thursday. “Filming is temporarily paused.”

It turns out that the “member” they were referring to was the lead star Robert Pattinson as reported by Vanity Fair. The sad part here is that production just started this week for the film which is set for release 2021. No word has been given yet on when production would resume.

Pattinson is another of the big stars that has been revealed to have tested positive for the COVID-19. This week also saw Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock announcing that he and his family were COVID-19 positive thru the former WWE champion’s Instagram account.

The Batman also stars:

  • Robert Pattinson as Bruce Waayne/Batman
  • Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman
  • Paul Dano as Riddler
  • Colin Farrell as The Penguin
  • John Turturro as Carmine Falcone
  • Jeffrey Wright as Commission Jim Gordon
  • Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth
  • Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson
