Moon Knight beats Iron Fist – Avengers # 33 Spoilers

Nobody really expected a fight between Moon Knight and Iron Fist but it looks like Moon Knight beats Iron Fist when they would come to blows. here are spoilers from Avengers # 33 by Jason Aaron and Javier Garron.

This also marks as the first part of the story arc called “The Age of Khonshu”; where Moon Knight’s purpose for being the so-called “Fist of Khonshu” has been revealed.

The story of how Moon Knight beats Iron Fist starts in Khun Lun, where Spector aka Moon Knight prays to the moon while waiting for his prey. When Iron Fist does show up, MK immediately attacks.

The fight is wild and it starts to go Danny Rand’s way until one punch changed the outcome of the fight.

Or rather, one dirty tactic changed the outcome. Remember, Moon Knight had the moon in his corner and they are fighting outdoors, at night so there’s a handicap.

I like how MK’s moves are just designated as “The Fist of Khonshu” while Iron Fist has a dozen different names for each move that he makes.

And with Rand in a weakened state, Moon Knight uses his ankh to steal the mystic powers of the Iron Fist and add it to his arsenal; something he later uses for other members of the Avengers.

So there you go. Change the stat sheets because it looks this is the first time Moon Knight beat Iron Fist. Here’s to hoping there’s a rematch down the line.

Also this segment made me realize why Iron Fist isn’t part of the Avengers. There was an Iron Fist in the Avengers 10,000,000 BC lineup so why not in the present?
