Ben Affleck officially returning as Batman for the Ezra Miller Flash movie
While we are all looking forward to see Robert Pattinson become the new Batman for Matt Reeves’ The Batman movie, we also learned today that Ben Affleck will also be returning as the Dark Knight!
It’s been announced that Affleck will be returning as Bruce Wayne and Batman for the still untitled solo The Flash movie for Warner Bros.
Batfleck appeared as the caped crusader for two movies namely Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. He was scheduled to appear and direct the solo Batman movie but ultimately dropped out.
In the last movie he appeared in, Affleck’s Batman was a sort of big uncle for the young Flash. He had helped him get a job by the end of the film and also motivated him to save people in the League’s first mission against Steppenwolf. So naturally it would be a good fit to have him back.
Warner’s approach is different and focused instead to keep their multiverse the way it is and Ezra Miller’s The Flash is the perfect tool and character to do just that, just like in the comics.
We already heard the rumor that Michael Keaton is also signing up as Batman from a different reality and now it’s also revealed that Keaton’s Batman will play a substantial role in the film.
