Brie Larson wants to play Samus Aran for Metroid film

Captain Marvel star Brie Larson was recently quoted saying she wants to play badass video game character Samus Aran in case they want to do a Metroid movie.

In a recent interview she did, she stated her interest in tackling the beautiful space pirate which is equally famous for gamers on the same level as Mario and Link.

She was quoted saying:

“I would love that so much. So, I was Samus for Halloween two years ago… It was literally a $20 costume I bought off of Amazon, it was like nothing,” said Larson about playing the character. “I was so excited about it, and so I posted a picture of it on Instagram of me and the costume and it turned into this thing of people being like ‘Woah!’ She was always my character that I played in Super Smash Bros. and I just loved her. So that whole thing started and I’ve definitely not put a squash to that story and I definitely want to make that movie, I definitely want to participate in that. So, Nintendo, once again, I would love to do it!“

Artist BossLogic also shared a new art featuring Brie Larson as Samus Aran.

And she totally digs the art and went again with the push for the role.

Bad news though, there’s really no plan to make Metroid movie at the moment but that could all change with the recent positive response for both Sonic the Hedgehog and Detective Pikachu, who could say.
