Maverick becomes an Autobot in limited edition Top Gun x Transformers

So while Top Gun: Maverick is taking its sweet time to be released in theaters, we are getting some sweet merchandise namely a limited edition Top Gun x Transformers crossover figure where they turn Tom Cruise’s character Maverick into an autobot.

Here’s what the official Transformers Facebook page wrote about this Top Gun x Transformers crossover figure.

He feels the need…THE NEED FOR SPEED! Maverick converts into the classic Northrop Grumman F-14 Tomcat from Top Gun and is the latest Transformers collaboration…and yes, a volleyball IS included!

TOP GUN: MAVERICK in theaters Dec. 23, 2020!

You read that right, they even added the volleyball as a reference to that scene from the original Top Gun movie which starred Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer.

And check out Autobot Maverick’s head, which is pretty much an Air Force pilot’s helmet…

Love the packaging for the F14….

And those little details are also neat like you can fold and unfold the wings, plus the paint job too.

Great set of weapons too, which you can also see the packaging.

Who wouldn’t want a dual wielding Air Force robot that’s also a jet.

Hope it won’t break the bank for the sake of casual Transformer fans like me and hardcore ones.
